The Sun In My Sky is a "what might have been" spinoff of Ten Years and Muses--The Wedding, following the alternate chapters near the end of the story. I've always been in love with the Jason character, even as I started writing him in Ten Years and Muses. He was merely supposed to be a one-night stand, never lasting past Chapter 18, however, as I kept writing him, he manifested into so much more. Even though Ten Years and Muses and Ten Years and Muses--The Wedding ended as they were intended, I've always secretly (or not-so-secretly) rooted for Mel and Jason. Unable to ignore the insatiable need to whet my appetite for the couple, I created "what if" situations for them. "What if she actually let herself fall for him?" "What if she finally gave in and they got together?" "What if she married him?"
Now we get to take a peek into what their first year of marriage will be like, how the demons of Hollywood can try their relationship, and if their bond is really as strong as it seems to be. Immediately thrown into an unfamiliar world of movies and more, Mel's patience and trust are both tried as she learns to cope with the many faces of Hollywood. Jason always told her she would never have to fight to keep him, but she never thought a town and an entity just might want him as much as she does!
And, yes. There IS a little Hanfic thrown in. ;)
